Rocket Rumble Gloves Tier List
Movement gloves beat lobby cosmetics. We rank types, not invented names.
Gloves are the loadout slot players argue about most in Rocket Rumble, and most of those arguments invent names. This page does not. Headshot Games can add, rotate, or retire glove rows at any time after the 31 March 2026 launch. Season 2 maps, 1v1 duels, and the battle pass will keep doing that. The gloves tier list is a utility ranking of categories and playstyles: movement gloves versus cosmetic skins. If a video lists a legendary named pair you cannot find in the live catalog, ignore the name and test the category instead.
Default first-person screenshots show yellow blocky hands and a green warhead in the launcher. That is the baseline kit. Anything you equip is judged against those hands, not against a fantasy roster. For how to open the slot, how gloves sit on the camera, and how they look while you jump, use the gloves guide. This page only answers what is worth Coins.
Claim working codes and finish getting started before you spend. Then read how to farm Coins so a Double Coins Boost is not wasted on a cosmetic you will hide after one match.
S-tier: movement gloves
S-tier is any glove category that changes how you move. In a six-player Free For All, splash and self-damage punish standing still. Extra jump height, a longer slide, or cleaner aerial control lets you peek a tiled ledge, fire the green warhead, and leave before the splash returns. That is a fight change. A recolor is not.
We will not name the rows. If a challenge, crate, or battle-pass track grants gloves and your rocket jump feels different afterward, those gloves are S-tier for you. Confirm it on a quiet server: jump, slide, air-strafe, and fire. If height, distance, or recovery did not change, demote the pair. Details on the jump itself live on rocket jumping.
Movement gloves also help Season 2 duels, but the gap is smaller. A 1v1 is two rockets, not six. Peek timing and map geometry can outrank a tiny jump bump. Still start here. You cannot cosmetic-skin your way out of a bad jump.
A-tier: hybrid movement plus readable hands
A-tier gloves keep a slice of movement and stay readable in first person. Yellow blocky hands are easy to track against colourful tiles. A hybrid that preserves that silhouette while adding a small slide or jump tweak is better than a busy skin that hides the launcher.
Hybrids shine when you already own a movement pair and you want a duel kit that does not fight the camera. If the gloves add noise around the warhead, they are not A-tier no matter how rare the crate felt.
B-tier: high-contrast cosmetic skins
B-tier cosmetics do not change movement. They change whether you can see your own hands while airborne. High contrast against tiled floors helps you keep the rocket aligned. Low contrast camouflage that blends into the map is a self-nerf.
Buy B-tier only after S-tier movement is covered, and only with leftover Coins during a Double Coins Boost. Check the crates tier list so you are not rolling a vanity crate to chase a B-tier skin you could unlock with a challenge instead.
C-tier: pure lobby cosmetics
C-tier exists to look good next to the Bronze IV badge in the lobby. Other players see the flex. You still see yellow-adjacent hands in first person, or a skin that does not help tracking. That is fine after the useful slots are filled. It is a poor first purchase.
Challenge-based unlocks and Headshot Games group rewards often dump C-tier rows for free. Take them. Do not spend a Coin stack mirroring a group reward you could have claimed by joining.
D-tier: duplicate clutter
D-tier is any roll that duplicates a cosmetic you already wear, or a crate output that does not touch gloves at all when you needed gloves. Stop opening. Farm Coins, wait for a boost, or switch to the best loadouts page and play the kit you have.
Playstyle overlays
Ranks above are categories. Overlay your mode on top.
FFA chaos (max six players). Movement is S. You need height to escape stacked splash. Cosmetic contrast is a luxury.
1v1 duels. Readable hands and peek timing rise. A tiny movement bump still helps, but a noisy skin that hides the green warhead is a downgrade even if it was expensive.
Rank grind from Bronze IV. You are learning splash. Spend on movement and on matches, not on lobby flex. The badge does not gate glove power on this wiki because we cannot see a higher ladder to claim.
Fashion only. C-tier is the point. Say so, spend leftover Coins, and do not pretend it is a combat upgrade.
How to test a glove without a name
- Equip the pair in the lobby. Confirm the first-person hands, not only the lobby mannequin.
- Queue a low-pressure FFA or a duel.
- Rocket jump the same ledge three times. Compare height to your yellow default.
- Slide the same corridor. Compare distance and recovery.
- Fire while airborne. If you lose the warhead in the glove art, the pair is a readability loss.
- If nothing mechanical changed, file it as cosmetic and move on.
Sensitivity can fake a glove upgrade. If shots feel late after a new pair, run the sensitivity tool before you promote the category.
What this list refuses to do
We will not publish a fake S–F table of named gloves. We will not invent crate exclusives. We will not assign map-specific glove gods, because we are not inventing map names either. Season 2 can add arenas; the test stays the same: movement, readability, Coin cost.
When Season 2 notes mention a new glove slot, re-run the jump test. Promote the category if the jump changed. Leave the marketing name off this page until the live catalog is stable enough to cite without guessing.
First-person contrast checklist
Before you call a cosmetic B-tier, look at your own hands, not the lobby preview.
Stand in a bright tiled corner and a dark indoor pocket. If the gloves disappear in either, they fail the contrast test. Air-strafe with the green warhead centered. If glove art covers the rocket, they fail the tracking test. Compare against the default yellow blocky hands: if the new pair is harder to see than that baseline, it is C-tier fashion even if a crate painted it rare.
Print that checklist in your head. It outlasts every catalog rotation Headshot Games ships, and it is the only glove rank that still works when a creator video invents a name you will never find in your inventory.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Rocket Rumble players.
Why are there no named gloves on this tier list?
The live catalog changes. This is a utility ranking of movement gloves versus cosmetic skins. Invented names go stale and we will not publish them.
Are default yellow gloves bad?
No. Default first-person hands are yellow and blocky, and they are readable. They are the baseline. Movement categories sit above them; noisy cosmetics can sit below.
Should I buy gloves or crates first?
Rank the glove category you need, then see whether a crate, a challenge, or a group reward is the cheapest path. The crates tier list covers Coin efficiency and Double Coins Boost timing.
Do gloves matter more in FFA or duels?
Movement gloves matter more in six-player Free For All. In duels, readable first-person hands and peek timing catch up. Overlay your mode on the category ranks above.
Is this the same page as the gloves guide?
No. This page ranks categories. The gloves guide explains how gloves work, how to equip them, and how they look in first person.
Does Bronze IV change which gloves I can use?
We only document the Bronze IV lobby badge. Spend on movement categories at that badge. We do not invent a rank gate.
