Getting Started in Rocket Rumble

Lobby pads, rocket-only FFA, and a first session that does not waste Coins.

Getting Started

Rocket Rumble is Headshot Games’ free Roblox FPS. You do not unlock a rifle, a shotgun, or a melee swap. The kit is a rocket launcher, shown in first person as yellow blocky hands holding a green-warhead RPG. Matches are small: up to six players per server. The live modes are Free For All deathmatch and, from Season 2 in June 2026, 1v1 duels. This page is the first hour, not a full meta dump.

The experience launched on 31 March 2026. If you are joining after Season 2, still start here. New maps, a battle pass, and duels sit on top of the same rocket-only rule. Read How to Play after this walkthrough if you want mode rules in more depth.

Lobby first: wheel, boards, codes

You spawn in the lobby, not in a firefight. Slow down. The floor has a spin wheel, leaderboards, and a hexagonal Codes pad between them. Walk onto the pad so the Codes window opens. Redeem Bonus_Code, discord, and Release exactly as written. Strings are case-sensitive. Reward amounts and any extra boosts belong on the codes list; the click-by-click pad steps are on how to redeem.

Codes often grant Coins and a Double Coins Boost. Claim them before a play block, not after you already finished challenges. The Headshot Games group advertises group rewards for joining. The game bio lists Discord; keep the invite on the wiki Discord page instead of trusting a random chat paste.

Look at leaderboards while you are here. They are a lobby fixture, not a hidden menu. Rank badges exist in the same social space. Players have been seen with a Bronze IV badge. That is enough to know a ranked track is visible. It is not enough to invent Silver through Champion titles on this page.

Queue a six-player rumble

When you leave the lobby, expect Free For All unless you pick Season 2 duels. A full server is six fighters, each with the same launcher class. Arenas are colourful tiled block spaces. You will die to splash you did not see, including your own. That is the tutorial the game actually ships.

On PC, treat this as a typical Roblox FPS: WASD to move, mouse to look, click to fire, Space to jump. On mobile, use the virtual stick and tap-to-shoot. Do not hunt for extra keybinds this wiki cannot verify. The dedicated controls page stays inside that list. If aim feels sticky or too fast, park the sensitivity tool next to your first matches.

Players rocket-jump by shooting their feet or a nearby surface. Treat that as a community movement habit, not a named official ability. Learn it after you can fire without constantly self-destructing. The rocket jump guide is the later lesson.

Challenges, Coins, and what not to buy yet

Unlocks are challenge-based. Play, complete the tasks the client shows, and collect Coins. Coins buy crates, skins, and gloves. That is the shop loop. This page does not invent crate tables or glove names. Before you spend, skim the crate tier list, the glove tier list, and loadouts so you are not rolling cosmetics you cannot identify in first person.

A Double Coins Boost is real. Use it when you already plan a session, not as a reason to sit idle in an empty lobby. Farm Coins covers the grind without fake per-kill numbers. Season 2’s battle pass is a separate track; read Season 2 before you assume every challenge is still the launch list.

Free For All is a score chase until the lobby kill target or match end. Do not wait for an official fifty-kill win screen that this wiki will not claim. Finish the match, take the Coins, and queue again. If the six-player chaos is too noisy, Season 2 1v1 duels are the quieter playlist. Maps explains how to read tiled arenas without naming maps we cannot verify.

Third-party injectors are not a beginner step. If you still go looking, the scripts hub is the warning page, not a farm shortcut.

First ten minutes, in order

  1. Spawn, ignore the queue button for one minute, and walk the lobby.
  2. Stand on the Codes pad. Redeem the three live strings from the codes page. Confirm Coins or a Double Coins Boost actually landed.
  3. Join the Headshot Games group if you want group rewards. Open Discord from the bio, not from a stranger.
  4. Queue Free For All. Note the six-player cap and the colourful tiled arena.
  5. Fire at floors and corners, not only at silhouettes. Splash is the weapon.
  6. After two deaths, open Controls and How to Play. After five matches, read rocket jump and maps.
  7. Spend Coins only after you have seen your own gloves and crates in the shop UI.

If you do that loop once, you are past the usual first-day mistakes: skipped codes, panicked hip-fire into your own feet, and crate rolls before you know what the shop even sells. Come back to this checklist when a friend joins and tries to skip the lobby.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Rocket Rumble players.

Is Rocket Rumble free on Roblox?

Yes. It is a free Headshot Games experience. Coins, crates, skins, and gloves sit on top of that free rocket kit.

What should I do before my first match?

Walk onto the lobby Codes pad, redeem the live strings from codes, then queue Free For All. Follow how to redeem if the window does not open.

How many players will I fight?

Servers cap at six. Free For All uses that lobby. Season 2 also has 1v1 duels.

Do I need to rocket-jump on day one?

No. Learn splash and peeking first. Treat rocket jumping as a later community technique, not a required unlock.

Where do Coins go?

Coins buy crates, skins, and gloves. Check crates and gloves before you spend a Double Coins Boost.

When did the game come out?

Rocket Rumble released on 31 March 2026. Season 2 arrived in June 2026 with new maps, duels, and a battle pass. See Season 2.
