How to Play Rocket Rumble

Six-player rocket FFA, Season 2 duels, and splash rules without a fake 50-kill win.

How to Play

Rocket Rumble is a free Roblox FPS from Headshot Games where the only weapon is a rocket launcher. You are not building a loadout of rifles. You are learning splash, self-damage, and when to peek a tiled corner. Servers hold up to six players. The original playlist is Free For All deathmatch. Season 2, which arrived in June 2026, added 1v1 duels, new maps, and a battle pass. Released on 31 March 2026, the game still teaches the same first-person picture: yellow blocky hands, a green-warhead RPG, colourful block arenas.

If you have not walked the lobby yet, start with Getting Started. This page is the match itself.

Free For All is a score chase

Queue Free For All and you drop into a six-player scramble. Everyone has the same launcher class. There are no teams. Splash does not care who fired first if two rockets occupy the same tile. The match continues until the lobby kill target or the match end. Players treat that as a score chase. This wiki does not claim an official fifty-kill win rule.

Play for position, not for a highlight reel. A fighter standing on open tiles is a splash magnet. A fighter who peeks, fires at feet or a nearby wall, and ducks back will outlive a player who walks down mid shooting at chests. Direct hits are nice. Splash on floors and corners is the reliable tool.

Your own rockets hurt you. If you fire at a wall you are hugging, you donate the kill. Jumping into your own explosion is how community rocket jumps start, but in a raw FFA it is also how you pad the other five scorelines. Learn the rocket jump page only after you can choose that trade.

A single death is not the match; Free For All keeps going until the lobby kill target or match end. Chasing one rival across the whole arena while two others farm you is the usual six-player mistake. Rotate toward clustered fights, fire once or twice, and leave if you are the third splash in a pile.

Season 2 duels are a different game

1v1 duels remove the off-screen third party. Panic splash that was “fine?in FFA becomes a free death. You still use the same rocket. You still play on colourful tiled geometry. You just cannot hide in chaos. If FFA feels like noise, duels are the playlist that tests peek timing. If duels feel slow, FFA is the playlist that tests awareness.

New Season 2 maps use the same visual language: blocks, tiles, bright colours. We do not invent map names on the maps page. Read height and corners instead. A six-player FFA on a compact tile box is denser than a duel on the same box. Pick the mode that matches the practice you want.

Inputs, challenges, and the shop sitting behind the fight

Combat inputs stay typical Roblox FPS: WASD, mouse look and fire, jump, mobile tap-to-shoot. Details are on controls. Sensitivity belongs in the sensitivity tool, not in a copied number from another game.

Between matches you still have a lobby with a spin wheel, leaderboards, and a Codes pad. Redeem Bonus_Code, discord, and Release from the codes list using how to redeem. Challenges unlock progress. Coins buy crates, skins, and gloves. A Double Coins Boost exists. None of that changes the rocket-only rule. Spend after you can actually win splash trades; Farm Coins is the grind page, while gloves, crates, and loadouts are the shop pages.

Join the Headshot Games group for the advertised group rewards. Keep Discord on the wiki Discord page. Season notes, including the battle pass, live on Season 2. Scripts are not how you play; the scripts hub is a warning.

FFA mindset versus duel mindset

In Free For All, assume someone is behind you. Check vertical tiles. Fire at feet when a fighter is airborne. Do not empty rockets into a 1v1 that two other players are already watching. Take the splash you can confirm, then move. The score chase rewards players who stay alive enough to keep shooting, not players who trade every life for a cinematic direct hit.

In a duel, assume your opponent heard the rocket. Wait a beat after they peek. Aim splash where they will land, not where they were. If you miss, do not immediately jump into your own correction shot. Reset, hold an angle, and make them come through the tile gap.

When a match ends, glance at the lobby boards, then queue with a purpose. One FFA to warm splash. One duel to clean timing. That rotation teaches more than twenty mindless rumbles. If you still skip codes or spend Coins on unidentified cosmetics, you are playing the shop, not the shooter. Come back to How to Play whenever a friend insists there is a secret fifty-kill rule or a hidden gun slot. There is not. There is a rocket, a six-player cap, and a Season 2 duel queue.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Rocket Rumble players.

What modes does Rocket Rumble have?

Free For All deathmatch and, since Season 2, 1v1 duels. Both are rocket-launcher-only.

How do you win a Free For All?

The match runs until the lobby kill target or match end. Treat it as a score chase. This wiki does not claim an official 50-kill win rule.

Can I use guns besides the rocket?

No. Headshot Games built a rocket-launchers-only FPS. Challenges unlock cosmetics and progress, not a second weapon class.

Why do I keep dying to my own shots?

Splash and self-damage are real. Back off corners before you fire, and read rocket jump before you shoot your feet on purpose.

Should I learn FFA or duels first?

Learn splash in Free For All, then try duels. FFA teaches chaos. Duels punish panic. Maps helps on both.

Does Season 2 change how you play?

It adds maps, a battle pass, and duels. The rocket-only rule stays. Read Season 2 for the patch context.
