Rocket Rumble 1v1 Duels
Season 2's duel queue: same rocket, no third party, panic splash gets punished.
Season 2, which landed in June 2026, added 1v1 duels to Rocket Rumble. The rest of the kit did not change. You still fight with a rocket launcher only. You still see yellow blocky first-person hands and a green-warhead RPG. You still play on colourful tiled block arenas. What disappears is the six-player noise. There is no third fighter farming your 1v1. Every missed splash is yours.
Headshot Games launched the experience on 31 March 2026 as a Free For All rumble with a six-player server cap. Duels sit beside that playlist, they do not replace it. If you have not learned splash in FFA, read How to Play and Getting Started first. Duels are a cleaner test, not a beginner sandbox.
What a duel actually asks for
A duel is two rockets, two cameras, and geometry. Peek a tiled corner, fire at the floor or wall your opponent will use, and get back. Direct hits win clips. Splash on the tile they land on wins sets. If you empty a rocket into a wall you are hugging, self-damage ends the round for you.
Patience is the new resource. In Free For All, a wild shot can still hit someone. In a 1v1, that same shot tells your opponent where you are. Wait for the peek. Aim where they will be after a jump, not where they were when you heard them. If they rocket-jump — a community technique of shooting feet or nearby surfaces — do not copy it unless you have a landing. Air time in a duel is a billboard. Details on that habit live on rocket jump.
Do not invent a fifty-kill win condition here either. FFA is a score chase until the lobby kill target or match end. A duel is over when one fighter loses the fight in front of you. Play the round you are in.
Inputs stay typical Roblox FPS: WASD, mouse look and fire, jump, mobile tap-to-shoot. See controls. If your look cannot check a doorway and return to a floor shot, use the sensitivity tool between duels, not after every death.
Maps, Season 2 extras, and the lobby around the queue
Season 2 also added new maps and a battle pass. We do not name those maps on this wiki. The maps page describes tiled arenas, colour-block rooms, and how a duel uses the same visual language as FFA with less congestion. Scout height in the first seconds. Hold an angle that covers a tile gap. Do not treat every block box as identical.
The lobby is unchanged: spin wheel, leaderboards, hexagonal Codes pad between them. Redeem Bonus_Code, discord, and Release from the codes list with how to redeem before a duel block if you also want Coins. Rank badges can show in that space; Bronze IV has been seen. Challenges still unlock progress. Coins still buy crates, skins, and gloves. A Double Coins Boost still exists. None of that is a duel mechanic. It is the same economy sitting behind a different queue. Farm Coins, gloves, crates, and loadouts cover spending. Season 2 covers the patch.
Join the Headshot Games group for advertised group rewards. Keep Discord on the wiki Discord page. Do not bring scripts into a 1v1 and expect the result to mean anything.
After a loss, do not queue angry
A duel loss is usually one greedy rocket. Walk away for a minute. In the next round, take one fight where you do not fire first. Make them peek. If they jump, splash the landing tile. If they hide, inch the camera out and put a rocket at the corner, not at your own feet.
If you lose two in a row to the same peek, change height. If you lose two in a row to self-damage, stop rocket-jumping. If you lose two in a row because you cannot track, lower sensitivity and play one Free For All to recapture splash size, then return. FFA is still the six-player rumble. Use it as a lab. Use duels as the exam.
The players who climb the visible rank badge are not the ones who treat duels like a highlight playlist. They are the ones who fire fewer rockets and miss less splash. Season 2 gave you that playlist on purpose. Use it when you want a clean 1v1. Use FFA when you want chaos. Do not mix the mindsets in the same round, and do not invent extra weapons to cope with a loss you could have avoided by waiting one extra second at a tiled corner.

When were 1v1 duels added?
Season 2 in June 2026 added duels, new maps, and a battle pass. Context is on Season 2.
How is a duel different from Free For All?
FFA is up to six players and a score chase until the lobby kill target or match end. A duel is one opponent and no third party.
